This openwork maxi dress by Och Bella is made for heat. The fabric is full of small openings, the back is bare down to the waist and the skirt opens in a side slit.
The maker lists padded cups and a lining. In the photos the lining stops on the upper thigh and the rest of the skirt is see-through. It comes in white, black and beige, in sizes S, M and L.

The piece: models 181155 to 181157 by Och Bella
Och Bella is the maker's brand, sold through a Polish fashion wholesaler. The supplier describes an openwork dress with a back tie and a sweetheart neckline, with padded cups and a lining.
One word in that description does not match the pictures. The text says strapless, and every photo shows thin straps that run from the cups to the back. We go by the photos.
The photos also show a band of open, crochet-style trim under the bust and along the straps at the back. It gives the dress the look of a crocheted piece; the maker's own word for the fabric is openwork.
Who it's for
For you if you want one long dress for the beach bar, the boulevard and the dinner after. It covers your legs to the ankle and still lets air through everywhere.
You need to be at ease with a bare back, because a normal bra will show. The padded cups are there so you can go without one.

Fabric and feel: two fabrics
The maker lists two fabrics and numbers them. Fabric 1 is 65% cotton and 35% nylon. Fabric 2 is 95% viscose and 5% elastane. The text does not say which is which. Our reading is that the cotton blend is the openwork outer layer and the viscose blend is the lining, but that is our reading and not the maker's statement.
In the photos the outer fabric looks light and open, with a regular diamond pattern. Where there is no lining you can see the legs through it, most clearly in the black dress.
Fit and silhouette: chest first, no length given
The maker gives a chest of 82 cm in S, 86 cm in M and 91 cm in L. The waist is a range: 72-80 cm in S, 78-86 cm in M and 84-90 cm in L. A range like that fits a back you tie yourself.
There is no length in the table. On the model the hem reaches the ankle. If you are much shorter or taller than average, ask us before you order and we will request the length from the supplier.

Styling: flat shoes and very little else
The model wears flat slides in the colour of the dress, and nothing more is needed. A straw bag and sunglasses finish it for the day.
In the evening, swap the slides for flat sandals with thin straps and add long earrings; the open back and the V at the front are decoration enough. Over a bikini the white version doubles as a cover-up.
Occasions
This is a holiday dress: beach days, a boat trip, a terrace at sunset, a summer festival. At home it suits a garden party or a hot day in the city, as long as an open back fits the place.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the dress.
Openwork fabric catches on hooks, zips and rings. Wash it in a laundry bag if the label allows machine washing, and store it folded so the weight of the skirt does not stretch the straps.
The wow detail: the back
From the front it is a long summer dress with a V. Turn around and there is only a tie, two trimmed straps and skin down to the waist. The trim along the straps frames the shoulder blades like the edge of a shawl.
