A mini shirt dress with a drawstring waist
This mini shirt dress by Figl takes the parts of a shirt and makes them playful. There is a collar, a short row of three buttons and two flaps on the chest, and then a drawstring pulls the waist in and the skirt flares out.
The maker lists 97% viscose and 3% spandex, no lining, and pockets in the side seams. It is about 94 cm long and comes in four plain colours and two prints, sizes S to XL.

The piece: models 151833 to 151838 by Figl
Figl is the maker's label. The description is the same for every colour apart from the colour itself: a kimono mini dress with a collar, decorative patches on the bust line, a 3-button fastening, a waist that is drawn in, sleeves finished with an elastic band, a flared bottom, side-seam pockets and no lining.
The old name of this page called it knee-length. The maker says mini, and on the model the hem is clearly above the knee.
In our menu "orange" is a soft salmon-orange, "Fuchsia" is filed by the maker under violet, "Taupe" is the maker's beige and "green" is mint. "Multicolor" is a cream dress with line-drawn faces and "multicolor 2" has small flowers on black.
Who it's for
For you if you like a dress with a waist you can adjust and a skirt with room to move. The drawstring sets the fit, so the same size works on a day you want it loose and a day you want it close.
It is also one of the few summer dresses with real pockets.

Fabric and feel: viscose with 3% spandex
The maker gives 97% viscose and 3% spandex. In the photos the fabric has a soft drape: the sleeves puff without standing stiff and the skirt swings when the model moves.
There is no lining. In the darker colours that will not matter. For the beige and the cream print, we can't promise full opacity, because the maker gives no fabric weight.
Fit and silhouette: short, with a wide skirt
The length barely changes between sizes: 94 cm in S and 95.5 cm in XL. Chest goes from 92 to 104 cm and waist from 74 to 86 cm; the drawstring takes the waist in further. The hip numbers, 126 to 138 cm, describe the full skirt.
Because a bigger size gives no real extra length, choose on your chest. On the model the hem sits above the knee. If you are tall, expect it to be shorter still.

Styling: block heels or white trainers
The model wears black mules with a block heel in every photo, and they suit the shirt details. White trainers make it a weekend dress; flat sandals take it to the beach bar.
You can swap the drawstring look for a narrow belt worn over it. The plain colours take a printed scarf or a bright bag. The face print is busy enough on its own, so keep the rest plain.
Occasions
The maker files it under day dresses. We would wear it to work in summer, to a lunch, a birthday in the garden or on a city trip. The collar keeps it neat enough for an office; the short length keeps it cool.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the dress. Tie the drawstring ends together before washing so they do not slip into the tunnel.
The wow detail: the chest flaps
Two flaps sit on the bust line where a utility shirt would have pockets. They are decoration, and they change the dress: with the collar they give the top half a safari-shirt look, and the puffed sleeves and swinging skirt soften it again.
