A long quilted coat that covers you from hood to calf
This is a long quilted coat for the cold, wet months, when a short jacket leaves your legs out in the wind. It reaches to around mid-calf, has a big hood and closes with press studs, and the tie belt pulls it in at the waist so it doesn't look like a sleeping bag.
Awama makes it in 100% polyester with a quilted finish and a printed lining: a starry sky inside the navy coat, colourful leaves inside the black one.

The piece: models 200546 and 200547 by Awama
The supplier describes a long coat with a hood, fastened with press studs, made of warm quilting fabric for autumn and winter, with a waist belt and a lining in a print. The navy coat (model 200546) has a lining with a starry-sky print, the black coat (model 200547) one with colourful leaves.
In the photos the quilting runs in a diagonal diamond pattern over the body, the sleeves and the hood. The fabric has a soft sheen. The cut is straight and long, and the belt runs through loops at the sides.
Who it's for
For you if you walk or cycle to work, wait on train platforms or take the dog out in all weather, and want your knees covered too. The two sizes are generous, so there is room for a thick jumper underneath.

The composition is 100% polyester. The maker calls the quilted fabric warm and meant for colder days; it does not list the filling or the lining separately. The coat weighs 1100 g, which is what you would expect from a long padded coat.
The lining print shows when the coat is open and inside the hood, so the colour of the inside matters more than on most coats.
Fit: two roomy sizes
The coat comes in S/M and L/XL. The maker's table gives S/M a length of 110 cm, chest 116 cm, waist 120 cm and hips 122 cm. L/XL is 111 cm long with a chest of 124 cm, waist 128 cm and hips 130 cm. These are coat measurements, so they are much wider than your body; that room is for layers.
On the model the hem falls around mid-calf. If you are petite it may reach your ankles.

Styling
The photos show the easy version: black leggings and chunky ankle boots, belt tied, hood down. Wear it open over jeans and a roll-neck when it is dry, and closed with the hood up when it rains.
The navy coat works with grey, camel and cream. The black one goes with everything; let the leaf lining show by turning back the edge of the front.
