This long open cardigan from AT has no buttons and no zip. You throw it on and it hangs open, 87 cm long, past the hips. Across the front, back and sleeves runs a raised, fluffy pattern of large leaves in a lighter tone of the same colour.
It comes in one size with a chest of 130 cm and in eleven colours, from beige and grey to turquoise and mustard.

The piece: a throw-on layer for cool days
The supplier describes a casual cardigan in a variegated fabric, with long sleeves and a length beyond the hips, meant to throw over you on colder days or evenings. It has no fastening and it has slip pockets for small things or cold hands.
The photos show what "variegated" means here. The leaf shapes are knitted in a fluffy yarn and stand up from a smoother base, so the pattern is something you feel as well as see. Cuffs and hem are finished with a ribbed band. The two pockets sit on the front panels.

Who it's for
For you if you are always the one who is cold at the office or on the sofa. It is a layer you can leave on a chair and pull on without thinking.
One size with a chest of 130 cm is generous. On a small frame it will look oversized; on a fuller figure it will sit closer, and because it does not close, it will not pull.

Fabric and feel: a synthetic knit with a fluffy surface
The composition is 42% acrylic, 30% PBT and 28% nylon. PBT is a stretchy synthetic fibre that is often used in fluffy, soft yarns. Everything in this knit is synthetic, which is good news if animal fibres itch on you.
The supplier says the long sleeves and length give warmth and comfort. From the photos we would call it a medium-weight knit: thicker than a fine cardigan, lighter than a coat.
Fit and length: one size, 87 cm long
The maker's table has two numbers: a total length of 87 cm and a chest of 130 cm. On the model the hem lands on the upper thigh and the sleeves reach the base of the thumb.
Measure 87 cm down from your shoulder to see where it will end on you. If you are shorter than average it will come close to the knee.

Styling: plain underneath
The pattern is busy enough, so the photos keep the rest plain: a white or beige top, straight trousers or jeans. That is the formula we would follow.
Because the front hangs open, a belt over the cardigan changes the shape if you want a waist. The mustard and dark brown ask for jeans. The powder pink, lilac and peach look fresh with white or light grey.
When to wear it
The supplier calls it a piece for many everyday occasions. That covers the home office, the school gate, a cool terrace in September and a train with the air conditioning on too high. In spring and autumn it can replace a jacket on dry days.

The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the cardigan.
Fluffy knits in general keep their pile longer when you wash them inside out and let them dry flat.
The wow detail: a pattern you can feel
The leaves are raised from the surface. Run a hand over the sleeve and you feel soft ridges where the fluffy yarn sits. In the tone-on-tone colours the pattern shows mostly through that texture. In the taupe version the leaves are grey, so there you see it from across the room.
