This quilted vest coat is the layer that goes over a thick sweater when a full coat is too much. It is sleeveless, it reaches the upper thigh, and it buttons down the front.

The piece: a vest coat by SYNZ
SYNZ is the label. The supplier calls it a vest coat, with a button-up front and pockets. It lists the thickness as normal, the body as not lined and the material as 100% polyester. The origin is imported, with no country named.
In the photos the surface is stitched in a diamond pattern, which gives it the quilted look. The supplier does not say whether there is padding between the layers or how much, so we make no promise about warmth. The neck is round and collarless, the buttons are dark, and the hem is rounded with a slit at each side.
Who it's for
For you if you spend autumn in sweaters and want something over them with free arms: for walking the dog, cycling to the shops, working in the garden.

Fabric and feel: quilted polyester
The supplier lists one material for the whole piece: polyester. In the photos the fabric has a soft matte finish and enough body to hang straight from the shoulders.
The supplier rates the thickness as normal. Read that as a layering piece for cool days, to be judged by what you wear under it.
Fit and silhouette: straight, roomy, long
The supplier gives the sizes in inches; in centimetres size M is 112 cm around the bust, 35 cm across the shoulder and 82 cm long. S is 106 cm in the bust and XL 126 cm.
That is roomy on purpose, because the vest has to fit over a sweater. The narrow shoulder measurement tells you the armholes are cut in, so the shoulder seam sits on top of your shoulder and does not hang over. If you plan to wear it over chunky knits, stay with your usual size.

Styling: cream knits and long skirts
The photos show it open over a cream sweater with a floral maxi skirt and a rust-coloured beanie. Sage green sits well with cream, brown, rust and faded blue.
With jeans and boots it becomes practical. Buttoned up with only a thin roll-neck under it, it reads almost like a sleeveless dress coat.
