Buckle block heel pumps with a tone-on-tone buckle

A closed pump, a heel you can stand on and one big square buckle across the toe. The buckle is the same colour as the shoe, so it reads as shape and not as shine.

The upper is PU leather, the sole is rubber, and the heel is what the supplier calls mid height. Two colours, black and dark blue, in EU sizes 36 to 43.

Materials and build: PU leather on rubber

PU leather is faux leather, a coated material with no animal hide in it. In the photos it is smooth and matte. The sole is rubber according to the supplier.

The supplier does not describe the lining or the insole and gives no heel height in centimetres. "Mid heels" is the supplier's own category.

Size and fit: go by foot length

The supplier's chart gives foot length per size: 22.9 cm for 36, 23.9 cm for 38, 24.9 cm for 40 and 26.4 cm for 43. Measure your foot standing up and pick the size that matches.

A pump without a strap has to hold your heel on its own. If you are between sizes, the smaller one usually stays on better, but the supplier gives no advice on width, so that is our general experience and not a product fact.

Styling: cropped trousers show them off

In the photos they are worn with cropped grey jeans and an ankle chain. Any trouser that ends above the ankle works, and so does a skirt or dress to the knee. Dark blue is a good alternative to black with navy, grey and camel.

Care: no instructions from the supplier

The supplier gives no care instructions. Faux leather is usually wiped clean with a soft damp cloth; treat that as general advice.

Most buckles on shoes are small and shiny. This one is big, square and matte, in the exact colour of the shoe. It gives a plain pump a graphic front without adding a second colour.
