The supplier uses its own marketing word for the material. The attribute list says artificial leather for the upper and the footbed, so this is faux leather with a patent look.

In the photos the red is a dark wine red, and the gloss has a fine crinkle in it.

The supplier calls the straps decorative. The zip is how you get in and out. Silver-tone is a colour description, and the material of the buckles is not stated.

Materials and build: faux leather with a patent look

Upper and footbed are artificial leather, as the maker lists them. The finish is glossy, and in the photos it catches the light in small creases, which gives the surface some depth.

The supplier suggests the boots for the transitional period, meaning autumn and spring. No lining or insulation is listed, so we would not treat them as winter boots.

Size and dimensions: mind the pointed toe

The maker gives an insole length per size. For black that is 23.5 cm in size 36, 24 cm in 37 and 24.5 cm in 38. Size 39 jumps to 25.5 cm, then 26 cm and 26.5 cm follow. For red the table is the same except for size 36, which is listed at 23 cm.

Part of the insole sits in the point, where your toes do not go. So choose a size with clear room over your foot length. The shaft is 13 cm high and stands a little away from the leg in the photos, which leaves space for a sock.

Styling: sharp below, soft above

These boots are busy, so the rest can be calm. Black jeans that stop at the ankle, a big knit and the black pair is an outfit that needs nothing else. The wine red looks good with grey, cream and dark blue.

They are also a nice contrast to something soft: a floral midi dress or a pleated skirt gets tougher with buckles under it. Keep the hem above the shaft so the straps stay visible.

Occasions

The supplier says everyday wear, and the flat heel makes that realistic. Wear them to work if your office is relaxed, to a concert, to dinner, on a city trip with a lot of walking.

Care: no instructions from the maker
