Block heel pumps with a pointed toe
These block heel pumps by Solea give you 7 cm of height on a heel wide enough to stand on. The toe is pointed, the cut is low and there is no strap or buckle: you slip them on.
Upper and insole are synthetic leather. You can choose black or beige, in sizes 36 to 41.

The piece: models 221652 and 221653 by Solea
Solea lists the black pair as model 221652 and the beige pair as model 221653. The description is the same for both: classic slip-on pumps in synthetic leather, a pointed toe that visually lengthens the foot, a low-cut design, a stable heel of 7 cm and a soft synthetic leather insole.
The photos add the decoration. On the toe sits a small dark metal triangle. At the top of the heel there is a narrow metal band with a key pattern, and the heel block itself has a glossy finish. The beige pair is a pale cream in the photos, which is why our colour button says Cream.
Who they're for
For you if you want a heel for work and find a stiletto tiring. A block heel spreads your weight over a larger surface, so 7 cm feels steadier than the same height on a thin heel.
They suit you less if you have a wide forefoot. A pointed toe narrows towards the front, and synthetic leather gives less than animal leather does.

The maker gives no material for the outsole and does not mention a lining.
Materials and build: synthetic leather
The attribute list has two material lines, upper and footbed, and both say artificial leather. The description calls the insole soft. In the photos the black upper has a fine grain and a soft sheen, and the heel is shinier than the rest of the shoe.
Synthetic leather wipes clean with a cloth and keeps its shape. It also stretches less, so the fit you feel on the first day is close to the fit you keep.
Size and dimensions: 7 cm heel, insole per size
The size table gives the insole length: 23 cm for size 36, 23.5 for 37, 24 for 38, 24.5 for 39, 25 for 40 and 25.5 cm for 41. Measure your foot from heel to longest toe and compare.
In a pointed shoe the last part of the insole is too narrow for toes, so your foot needs to be shorter than the insole. If your foot length equals the insole length of your usual size, go one size up. The heel is 7 cm in every size.

Styling: tights, trousers, skirts
The photos show both colours with dark diamond-patterned tights and a short skirt. Cream pumps against dark tights make a strong contrast. With black pumps the leg and the shoe become one line.
For the office, wear them under ankle-length trousers so the heel band stays in view. The maker says they work for formal outfits and for every day, and a 7 cm block heel does sit between the two.
Occasions
Wear them to work, to a job interview, to a dinner or a reception. The beige pair is a good match for a wedding guest outfit in a light colour.
They are indoor and pavement shoes. On grass or cobbles a block heel copes better than a thin one, but 7 cm is still 7 cm.

As a general habit with synthetic leather, wipe the shoes with a soft damp cloth and dry them with a second one. Pale shoes pick up colour from dark jeans and from black scuffs, so clean the beige pair soon after wearing.
