The cutlery and chopsticks in the photo are props. The supplier data does not say whether a screw or hook is in the box, so assume you need your own.

Materials: bamboo and wood

The supplier lists bamboo and wood and gives no more detail: not which parts are which, and not whether the surface is oiled or lacquered. In the photos the whole holder has the same light bamboo look.

The open slats let air reach what is inside. Even so, bamboo and standing water are not friends, so dry your cutlery before you put it in.

The supplier gives 21 x 14.5 x 6.5 cm and does not label which number is which. From the photos, the tall back panel is the 21 cm, the width is 14.5 cm and the depth is 6.5 cm. That depth is slim, so it sits close to the wall and takes little room on the counter.

Standard cutlery and chopsticks stick out above the front, which makes them easy to grab.

Where to put it

Hang it next to the stove for the spoons you cook with, or beside the sink for cutlery that has just been dried. On an open shelf it looks at home next to cutting boards and bowls, as in the supplier's photo.

Occasions

It is a practical housewarming gift, and a good small present for someone who has just discovered cooking with a wok.

Care: wipe, don't soak

The supplier gives no care instructions. As general practice for bamboo kitchenware: wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it straight away, keep it out of the dishwasher, and don't leave it standing in water.
