Pointed slingback flats in beige faux suede
These pointed slingback flats by Step in Style are made of faux suede, with a 1 cm heel and an open back. A strap with a large buckle holds the heel in place, and you can adjust it.
We sell them in beige. The shape is somewhere between a ballet flat and a dress shoe, which is exactly why they are useful.

The piece: model 222710 by Step in Style
The supplier calls them ballet flats: a flat heel, pointed toes and an adjustable strap at the back with a large decorative buckle. The upper is imitation suede and the footbed artificial leather.
The photos on this page also show olive green, light blue, black and camel brown. The wholesaler no longer has those four. Beige, model 222710, is the pair you can order.
Who it's for
For you if you want to look dressed and stay flat. A pointed toe gives the line of a pump, and a 1 cm heel asks nothing of your feet.
The open back helps on warm days and with a high instep. If your heels tend to slip out of slingbacks, the buckle lets you tighten the strap.

Materials and build: faux suede outside, artificial leather inside
Both materials are synthetic. The supplier lists the upper as imitation leather suede and the footbed as artificial leather. In the photos the upper has the soft, napped look of suede and takes the beige evenly.
The sole is thin. You will feel cobblestones through it, as with any flat of this kind.
Size and fit: watch the larger sizes
The insole is 23 cm in size 36, 23.5 cm in 37, 24 cm in 38 and 24.5 cm in 39. After that the steps get bigger: 25.5 cm in 40 and 26.5 cm in 41.
Measure your foot and compare. The pointed tip is not usable length, so leave about a centimetre. The strap is adjustable, which gives you some play at the heel.

Styling: cropped hems
The photos show them on bare feet with a fine ankle chain. That is the look: a bit of ankle, nothing heavy around it.
Wear them with cropped tailored trousers, straight jeans rolled once, or a midi dress. Beige flats make bare legs look longer because the colour is close to skin tone. In the office they do the job of a pump.
Occasions
These are spring and summer shoes for work, lunches and city days. They are also a good second pair for a wedding, in your bag for when the heels come off.
Faux suede and rain are not friends. Leave them at home on wet days.
Care: a soft brush
The maker gives no care instructions. The usual advice for faux suede is to brush off dry dirt with a soft brush and to dab marks with a barely damp cloth.
Do not machine wash them, and let them dry in the air if they get wet.
The wow detail: the buckle
The buckle is bigger than it needs to be, and that is the point. It sits on the outside of the heel strap, a gold-tone rectangle on soft beige, and it is the first thing people see when you walk away. On a shoe this simple, one bold piece of hardware is enough.
