These circle stud earrings are small open circles, about 1 cm across. Half of each ring is set with rows of tiny stones and the other half is plain polished metal.

The piece: what the supplier states
The material line on the supplier's page reads: platinum-plated, 18K gold-plated, 925 sterling silver, moissanite. We read that as a sterling silver base with platinum plating on the silver-coloured pair and 18K gold plating on the gold-coloured pair. The gold-coloured pair is plated according to the supplier; it is not solid gold.
For the stones the supplier gives a carat weight of 0.26. It does not say whether that weight is per earring or for the pair, and it does not mention a certificate. We pass this figure on as the supplier's, since we have not tested it ourselves.
Who they're for
For you if you like small earrings you can leave in all day. At about 1 cm and 2.4 g they are light, and the shape is simple enough for work and still has some sparkle for the evening.
They also make an easy gift. Most people with pierced ears can wear a small stud, and you do not need to know a size.

Materials and build: the supplier's statement
According to the supplier: platinum-plated, 18K gold-plated, 925 sterling silver, moissanite, carat weight 0.26. We have no hallmark or certificate on file for this piece.
925 sterling silver means silver with a fineness of 925 parts in a thousand. On top of that comes a thin layer: platinum or 18K gold, according to the supplier. Plating is a surface layer and it can wear with time, mostly where metal rubs against skin or other jewellery.
Moissanite is a clear stone that is made in a lab and often chosen as an alternative to diamond. The supplier gives no details on the setting, so we describe only what the photos show: small stones set close together in rows.
Size and dimensions: about 1 cm
The supplier gives one size: a length of 0.4 in, which is about 1 cm, and a weight of 2.4 g. In the photo where a stud is held next to the ear it covers a small part of the earlobe. If you are used to bigger hoops, these will look modest.
Styling: gold tone or silver tone
Pick the colour you already wear. The silver-coloured pair goes with white gold and silver-toned watches, the gold-coloured pair with warm chains and rings. With your hair up or tucked behind the ear the circle is easy to see.
If you have a second piercing, a plain small stud next to it keeps the attention on the circle.

Care: keep them dry and store them apart
The supplier gives no care instructions for these earrings. The usual advice for plated jewellery applies: take them out before you shower, swim or use perfume and hairspray, wipe them with a soft dry cloth, and keep them in a pouch or box so they do not scratch against other pieces.
