The piece: two branches that never meet
A bypass ring is a ring whose two ends overlap instead of closing. Here each end is a little branch with leaves, and the two branches lie side by side across the top of the finger.
In the photos every leaf has a gold-coloured rim and a centre that changes colour with the light, from grey-blue to sea green. The supplier names the inlay as resin. It has the look of shell, but shell is not what the supplier lists, so we stay with resin.
Who it's for
For you if you like jewellery with a plant or garden theme and want something lighter than a big cocktail ring. At 2.5 g you will hardly feel it.
Because it is open, it is a safe gift when you do not know someone's ring size.

Materials: the supplier's statement
According to the supplier: 18K gold-plated, resin, stainless steel. We read that as stainless steel for the base, 18K gold plating for the surface, and resin in the leaves. We have no hallmark or certificate on file for this piece. The thickness of the plating is not stated, so we do not promise how long the gold colour keeps.
Stainless steel is a common choice for everyday jewellery because it is hard and does not rust easily. Resin is a cast material, which is how the inlay gets its smooth, glassy surface.
Size: open band, about 23 mm across
One of the supplier's photos has the measurements printed on it. The ring is 23 mm wide, with the word adjustable next to it, and the leafy front is 15 mm high. The supplier's size chart agrees: it gives a width of 2.3 cm, converted by us from inches.
No ring size range is given. An open ring like this can be pressed a little narrower or pulled a little wider. Do it once, gently, and do not bend it back and forth.

Styling: with green, blue or plain cream
The inlay picks up blue and green clothes nicely, and it stands out against cream, white and beige. Wear it alone on the index finger, or next to a plain thin band on the same hand.
Fine gold-coloured chains and small hoops go with it. We would not add a second ring with a big stone on the same hand.
