The piece: a heart that looks hand-moulded
The supplier calls it an 18K gold-plated heart-shaped ring and adds that it is adjustable. In the photos the heart has a soft, uneven outline, as if it was pressed from warm wax. Inside the frame sit small chips of stone in different sizes, so no two rings look quite the same.
We want to be exact about the stones. The supplier's material list says the stone is genuine and does not say which stone it is. An older version of this page named a gemstone. We have taken that out, because we cannot back it up.
Who it's for
For you if you like one big ring and plain hands otherwise. The heart is large, about as wide as the finger in the photos, so it is a ring people will notice.
It is an easy gift as well. The band adjusts, so you do not need to know her ring size.

Materials: the supplier's statement
The supplier lists 18K gold-plated and stainless steel. We read that as a stainless steel ring with a layer of 18K gold on top. We have no hallmark or certificate on file for this piece, so take it as the supplier's statement. The thickness of the gold layer is not stated, so we make no promise about how long the colour keeps.
The stones are listed as stone, with no name. From the photos we can only describe the colours: purple, dark blue, pale pink and pale green. Because the chips are irregular, the shade and the pattern of your ring will differ from the photos.
Size: one size, open band
The ring comes in one size and the supplier lists it as adjustable. The photos show a band that is open at the back. You widen or narrow it by pressing gently.
The supplier's chart gives one figure, a width of 1.8 cm, converted by us from inches. It does not say which part that is; it fits the heart, the widest part of the ring. The range of the band is not given. Adjust it once and leave it. Bending a ring back and forth many times is hard on any band.

Match the stone colour to your clothes or contrast it. The navy one looks sharp with a white shirt and jeans; the blush pink one is softer with cream and beige. Fine gold-coloured hoops are enough at the ears.
