This cropped faux leather jacket is short, sharp and a little dramatic. The collar stands high, the sleeves are long and full, and the body is seamed like a corset and ends in a point at the front.
It is 100% polyester with a leather look, lined, in dark brown. Sizes run from S to L.

The piece: faux leather, whatever the supplier title says
The jacket is sold under the label The Honest Stitch. Our supplier titles it a "vintage style slim fit leather jacket", but gives the composition as 100% polyester. We go by the composition: this is faux leather.
The supplier also lists it as lined, with a "normal" thickness, and gives the origin as "imported" without a country. The vintage part is the finish, which looks rubbed and uneven in the photos, darker in the seams and lighter where the surface catches light.
Who it's for
For you if you want a jacket that is the outfit. It is cut to stop at the waist, so it suits high-waisted jeans, long skirts and fitted dresses.
It is not a jacket to hide in. If you prefer your outerwear long and loose, this is the wrong one.

Materials and build: polyester with a leather look
The composition is 100% polyester. The surface is made to look like aged leather: brown, slightly glossy, with a rubbed pattern. Because it is faux leather it needs none of the feeding and waxing that hide asks for.
The supplier says the jacket is lined but does not name the lining fabric separately.
Fit and silhouette: very short body, very long sleeves
Size M is 45 cm long with a bust of 103.9 cm and a sleeve of 65 cm. Size S is 43.9 cm long with a bust of 100.1 cm. The supplier gives the chart in inches; we converted it. We sell S, M and L.
The supplier calls the fit slim, and the waist seams do pull the body in, but the bust figures leave room for a thin knit. The sleeves are longer than usual on purpose and gather at the wrist.

Styling: one colour underneath
The photos show two approaches. With dark jeans, a brown body and a belt it is tonal and a bit western. Over an all-black outfit the brown stands out and the pointed hem is easy to see.
Keep what is underneath smooth and high-waisted. A bulky jumper would fight the short hem.
Occasions
A night out, a concert, dinner in town, or a dry autumn day when you want your jacket to do the talking. The supplier says nothing about rain or cold, so do not treat it as a winter coat.
Care: the supplier says cold wash
The supplier's instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. With faux leather we would be careful all the same: check the sewn-in label first, and wipe marks off with a damp cloth before you reach for the machine.
The wow detail: the pointed hem
The hem does not run straight. It curves up at the sides and dips to a point at the centre front, the way the bottom of a corset does. With a high waistband under it, that point is the first thing people notice.
