A midi pencil skirt with a high waist and a lining
This midi pencil skirt is the classic office skirt done properly: a high waistband, a covered zip, a lining, and a hem that ends below the knee.
Awama makes it in Poland in three versions: a small black-and-white houndstooth, a cobalt blue and a plain black. It is about 70 cm long and comes in S to XL. You buy the skirt; the shirts in the photos are styling.

The piece: a skirt, not a set
The maker describes a classic pencil skirt in midi length, fastened with a covered zip, with a lining, made in Poland. The maker adds that it goes well with a shirt.
That last sentence explains why this page was once called a two-piece set with a black shirt. It is not. The supplier files it under skirts and ships one skirt. We have corrected the name and we say it here so nobody orders it expecting a shirt in the box.

Fabric and feel: two fabrics, depending on the colour
The blue and the black skirt are 95% polyester with 5% spandex. For the houndstooth the maker lists 69% polyester, 32% viscose and 3% spandex. Those three numbers add up to more than a hundred, so one of them is off by a few points. We print them as given and have flagged it; the label in the skirt is the reference.
What matters for wearing: every version has spandex for stretch, and every version is lined. In the photos the plain colours are smooth and the houndstooth has a woven check.
Fit and silhouette: narrow, with a waistband that sits high
The table gives a waist of 68 cm in S, 72 cm in M, 76 cm in L and 80 cm in XL. Hips are 92, 96, 100 and 104 cm. Length goes from 69.5 cm to 71 cm.
A pencil skirt has to fit at the hips first. Measure the widest part of your hips and choose the size that covers it; the spandex takes care of small differences. The waistband sits above the waist, so the 70 cm of length ends lower on the leg than you might expect: below the knee on the model.

Styling: tuck in a shirt, as the maker says
The maker's own advice is a shirt, and the photos show it three times: black with the houndstooth, white with the blue and with the black.
A fine-knit jumper tucked in works too, and so does a body. With the houndstooth keep the top plain. The cobalt blue is strong enough to carry a simple white T-shirt and trainers on a Friday.
Occasions
The maker calls it suitable for many occasions. The first one is the office. The others are a job interview, a presentation and a dinner where you want to look sharp.
With heels and a silky blouse the black one also works in the evening.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so follow the label sewn into the skirt.
Close the zip before washing and hang the skirt by the waistband to dry.
The wow detail: the waistband
The waistband is wide and climbs above the waist. On the plain colours you see it as a clean, flat panel under the blouse. It makes the legs look longer, because the skirt starts higher than the eye expects.
