Italy Moda sells through a Polish fashion wholesaler, which lists this item as a short skirt in the skirts category. The supplier describes a mini skirt with godets and a checkered pattern, a hidden zipper and a belt that fastens.
Two checks are in stock: a dark navy with fine beige lines, which is our button "Plaid", and a brown with black lines. The third, beige with black, is not available at the supplier right now.
Who it's for
For you if you like a check in autumn and want it short. The skirt sits high on the thigh on the model, so it is one for tights, boots and confidence.

The composition is 71% polyester, 25% viscose and 4% spandex. The supplier says the blend gives comfort and lightness and adjusts gently to the body.
In the photos the fabric has a soft, slightly brushed surface and falls in loose folds, so it is not a stiff tailoring cloth. The check is woven or printed in two tones per colourway; the supplier does not say which.
Size and fit: two sizes, no numbers
The skirt comes in S/M and L/XL. The maker's size table has a column for the waist width and leaves it empty for both sizes. There is no length either.
What we can tell you from the photos: the waistband sits at the waist, the skirt flares from there, and it is short. If you want measurements before ordering, ask us and we will request them from the supplier. If you are between the two sizes, the belt helps at the waist.
Styling: shirt, blazer or knit
The photos show two directions. With a checked shirt in the same pattern the skirt looks like a dress. With a black top and an oversized black blazer it turns sharper.
You don't need the matching shirt for either idea. A plain navy or brown knit tucked in works as well, and so does a white shirt. Add black tights and loafers or knee boots.
Occasions
The supplier calls it suitable for everyday and occasional outfits. We see it at college, in a creative office, on a city trip in October or at Friday drinks. It is a casual skirt with a neat finish.
