This black lace body from Casmir is lingerie, and it does not pretend to be anything else. The front is smooth black microfiber with lace over the cups and along the legs. The cups have underwires. The back is where it gets interesting: a criss-cross lacing over an open panel, and a thong cut below.
It comes in three double sizes, from S/M to 2XL/3XL.

The piece: model 206274 by Casmir
The wholesaler lists this piece as a "shapewear body". We do not use that word on purpose. The maker's own description speaks of a body in microfiber and lace with underwired cups, and says nothing about shaping, compression or control. So we sell it as what the description supports: a lace body.
The maker calls the microfiber Spanish and the lace classic. The product photos carry the Casmir logo and a round badge that reads "Made in Europe". The data we receive does not name a country.
Who it's for
For you if you want a one-piece that feels dressed up and a bit daring, for yourself or for someone who will see it. The underwired cups give it the structure of a bra, which a soft body does not have.
The leg is cut high and the back is a thong. If you prefer more coverage behind, this is not your body.

Fabric and feel: microfiber and lace
The maker names two materials, microfiber and lace, and gives no percentages. Microfiber is a very fine synthetic yarn. Fabric made from it is smooth and matte and tends to lie flat on the skin, which matches the photos.
The lace is black with a scalloped edge. On the cups it sits over the top half only, and along the legs it forms a wide border. We cannot tell you how much stretch the body has, because the data does not say.
Fit and sizing: three double sizes
The size table gives waist and hip ranges. S/M is for a waist of 60 to 72 cm and hips of 88 to 100 cm. L/XL covers 72 to 84 cm and 100 to 112 cm. 2XL/3XL covers 84 to 96 cm and 112 to 124 cm.
There is no cup size in the table. With underwired cups that matters, and a double size cannot fit every bust. If the cups are the part you worry about, know that returns are 14 days from delivery, as long as the body is unworn and still has its tags.

Styling: mostly for the bedroom, sometimes not
This is first of all lingerie. If you want to wear it out, the front works as a top under a blazer or with high-waisted trousers, where only the lace cups and the smooth middle show. Keep the jacket on if the laced back is more than the evening calls for.
Occasions
The maker says the classic character makes it suitable for any occasion. We would be more modest: an anniversary, a weekend away, Valentine's Day, or an ordinary Tuesday when you feel like it.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so follow the label sewn into the body. Lace and underwires in general do better with a hand wash or a laundry bag, and without a tumble dryer.
The wow detail: the back
From the front this is a neat black body. Turn around and there is a row of crossed laces running down the spine over bare skin, ending in a band of lace. It borrows the look of a corset without the boning. Most of the drama of this piece is on the side you cannot see yourself.
