Running Leopard Sculpture on a Black Base, 35 cm
A freestanding copper leopard sculpture for shelves or desks.
Description
A leopard sculpture caught in the middle of a run
This leopard sculpture shows the animal at full stretch, tail out behind it, with a single hind leg touching the base. According to the supplier it is made of copper, in a gold-coloured or a dark green finish.
It is about 35 cm long and 10 cm deep. The gold-coloured version is 16 cm high and the green one 18 cm, measured from the bottom of the black base.

The piece: angular planes and a long line
The maker did not model fur or spots. The body is built from flat, angular planes on the shoulder and the haunch, and the whole animal forms one line from nose to tail tip. That keeps it modern.
The base is a stepped black block with a brown marbled plate on top. We sell the sculpture without a brand, because the supplier data names no maker, and without the gift box that some supplier variants include.
Who it's for
For you if you want one object on a sideboard or a desk that has movement in it. At 35 cm it is large enough to hold a shelf on its own.
It also suits someone who likes animal figures but finds realistic ones too sweet.

Materials and build: copper, says the supplier
The supplier states copper. We have no test report, so we pass that on as its statement; the metal look in the photos fits with it. The gold is a colour. There is no gold in this sculpture.
Bronze Green is the name we gave the second colour after the photos: a dark green with a lighter, gold-coloured face. It describes the colour and makes no claim about bronze. The supplier does not say what the base is made of and gives no weight.
Size and dimensions: 35 cm from nose to tail
The supplier's size photos give 35 cm in length and 10 cm in depth for both colours, with a height of 16 cm for the gold-coloured version and 18 cm for the green one. The height is measured from the bottom of the base.
The supplier's text gives slightly different figures, 36 x 8 x 10 cm. We follow the size photos, because they show where each measurement is taken. Either way, allow a shelf of about 36 cm wide.

Styling: give it a dark background
The supplier photographed the gold-coloured leopard on dark wood against a dark brown wall, and the finish glows there. A dark bookcase or a black console does the same at home.
The green version is quieter. It works on a light shelf too, where the outline of the run does the work.
Occasions
It is a gift for a new office or for someone who has just reached a goal they ran hard for. At home it suits the spot where you would otherwise put a vase and never any flowers.
Care: a soft dry cloth
The supplier gives no care instructions. As general practice for a finished metal figure, dust it with a soft dry cloth. We would skip metal polish, since we do not know how the finish is applied. Lift it by the base, not by the tail.
The wow detail: one leg on the ground
The whole animal rests on a single hind leg. The front legs are tucked under the chest and the other hind leg is in the air, so the body hangs above the base. That is what makes it look fast while standing still.
