Black chunky loafers with a gold-tone bit
These black chunky loafers take the classic bit loafer and put it on a thick tread sole. The upper is smooth faux leather, and a gold-tone ornament with chain-like links runs across the front.
The heel is 4.5 cm according to the maker. They slip on without laces, and sizes run from 36 to 41.

The piece: model 222373
The wholesaler lists these loafers as model 222373 with Solea as the brand. Its description calls them black moccasins with a gold decoration and uses the name Ruben for the shoe. We pass on both names as we received them.
The description itself is mostly praise. The facts we rely on come from the attribute list: artificial leather for the upper, artificial leather for the footbed and a heel of 4.5 cm.
Four of the six photos show a second version with a snake-print panel under the ornament. That one is gone at the wholesaler. The plain black pair in the first two photos is what we deliver.
Who they're for
For you if you like loafers and find the classic flat ones a bit prim. The thick sole makes them tougher and gives you some height without a real heel.
They are faux leather inside and out, so they also suit you if you avoid animal leather.

Size and dimensions: 4.5 cm at the heel
The size table gives the insole length: 23.5 cm for size 36, half a centimetre more per size, up to 26 cm for size 41. Measure your foot from heel to longest toe and take the size with an insole a little longer.
Loafers have nothing to tighten, so the fit across the instep matters. If you plan to wear them with thick socks, as in the photos, and you are between sizes, go up.

Styling: cropped jeans and visible socks
The photos show the loafers with cropped, frayed jeans and black ankle socks. The gap between hem and shoe is part of the look, so let the sock show.
They also work with tailored trousers that end at the ankle and with a short skirt and tights. White sport socks make them preppy. Sheer black socks dress them up.
Occasions
The maker says casual and more formal outfits, and loafers are good at exactly that in-between. Wear them to the office, to college, to lunch. They are autumn and spring shoes; the maker says nothing about rain or cold.
