This corduroy shirt is a classic long sleeve button-down in fine-ribbed cotton. It has a chest pocket, a collar that buttons down and cuffs with two buttons.
The fabric is 100% cotton without stretch. There are six colours and six sizes, S to 3XL. Check the chart before you order: the cut is narrower than the size labels suggest.

The piece: a button-down in fine corduroy
The shirt is sold under the label Stalwart. Our supplier describes a corduroy long sleeve button-down shirt in a basic style, buttoned and with a pocket, in 100% cotton, imported without a country named.
The photos show a fine rib, the kind often called needlecord. The dark gray, burgundy and light gray shirts have white buttons, which stand out; on navy, dark brown and brown the buttons are dark and blend in. The brown is a warm rust shade.
Who it's for
For you if you want a shirt with more texture than poplin and less bulk than a jumper. Corduroy sits between the two, and a shirt like this can be worn closed or open over a T-shirt.
The supplier's title mentions plus size, but the chart tells another story: a 3XL measures 114 cm around the chest. If you have a broad build, compare carefully before you buy.

Fabric and feel: cotton with a soft rib
The composition is 100% cotton, and the supplier states that the fabric does not stretch. Corduroy is woven with raised ribs of cut pile, which gives it a soft, slightly velvety surface and more body than a flat shirt fabric.
The supplier gives no fabric weight. From the photos the rib is fine, so think shirt and not jacket.
Fit and silhouette: runs narrow, measure first
The chest of the shirt measures 94 cm in S, 98 cm in M, 102.1 cm in L, 105.9 cm in XL, 110 cm in 2XL and 114 cm in 3XL. Those are garment measurements, and with no stretch in the fabric they are the limit.
A regular European L shirt often measures more than this L. Lay a shirt that fits you flat, measure the chest from side to side, double it, and choose the size here that matches. Many will end up one or two sizes above their usual label. Length runs from 68.1 to 77 cm and the sleeve from 57.9 to 63 cm.

Styling: under knitwear or open over a tee
Wear the navy or dark gray with chinos and a crew-neck jumper, collar points buttoned down. The rust brown and burgundy are good autumn colours with dark jeans.
Left open over a white T-shirt it works as a light overshirt. Lace-up boots or plain white sneakers both suit it.
Occasions
It suits the office on a day without a tie, a birthday, a pub evening and a weekend walk. Corduroy reads as relaxed, so for a formal event you would choose a smooth shirt.
Care: cold wash, low dryer
The supplier's care instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Corduroy keeps its pile longer when you wash it inside out and with similar colours; that tip is ours. Cotton can shrink a little in a hot wash, which is one more reason to stay with cold.
The wow detail: the contrast buttons
On the burgundy, dark gray and light gray shirts the buttons are white. Against the soft rib they look crisp, and they run in a clean line from collar to hem and onto the cuffs. It is a small thing that makes a plain shirt look considered.
