Description
A cable knit half-zip sweater for men
This half-zip sweater combines two classics: a cable knit front and a zip-up stand collar. Zipped up it sits close around the neck; open, it shows the collar of the shirt underneath.
The knit is 95% polyester with 5% spandex and is slightly stretchy. It comes in five colours and six sizes, from S to 3XL.

The piece: cables and a zip, by Nobilityze
The sweater is sold under the label Nobilityze. The supplier lists a basic style in cable knit, slightly stretchy, and the fibre mix.
In the images the cables run down the front between vertical ribs, and the back and sleeves are plain rib. The zip has a gold-coloured slider with a dark pull tab. A note on the pictures: most of them are product renders, so we use them for colour and pattern, and we rely on the close-ups for the knit itself.

For you if you want one sweater that works over a shirt at the office and over a T-shirt at the weekend. The zip lets you set how formal it looks and how much air you get.

Fabric and feel: a polyester knit
The yarn is 95% polyester and 5% spandex. In the close-ups the knit has a soft, slightly fuzzy surface. It looks like a classic sweater yarn, but the supplier names only polyester and spandex, so that is what it is.
The supplier rates the stretch as slight and gives no weight for the knit.
Fit and silhouette: close, not tight
Size S measures 96 cm at the chest, 65 cm in length and 61 cm along the sleeve. Size 3XL measures 116.1 cm, 74.9 cm and 66 cm. The supplier gives these in inches; we converted them and rounded to one decimal.
These are modest chest measurements for a sweater, so the fit will be close to the body. If you plan to wear a shirt underneath or like some room, compare with a sweater you own and consider one size up.

Styling: shirt collar out
One image shows the khaki sweater over a white shirt, cuffs turned back over the sleeves, with jeans and a brown belt. It is an old formula and it still works.
Black and gray go with tailored trousers. Army green and blue look good with chinos. On cold days the stand collar sits neatly under a coat collar, and you can leave the scarf at home.
Occasions
Wear it to the office, to dinner with the in-laws, on a weekend away or for drinks on a Friday. It is smart enough for most places that do not ask for a jacket.
Care: cold wash, low dryer
The supplier's care instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Close the zip before washing so the teeth do not catch the knit; that tip is ours.
The wow detail: the zip pull
The zip ends in a small dark tab held by a gold-coloured ring and rivet. It is a detail you usually find on bags and jackets. On a sweater it gives your hand something to find without looking, and it adds one small point of shine to a matte knit.
