The piece: Lana by LaBalancia
LaBalancia sells through a Polish fashion wholesaler. The supplier lists three versions of Lana: Fango, a plain taupe brown; a beige one with a leopard pattern; and a red one with a leopard print. They share one composition and one size table.
Only the beige leopard version is active at the supplier today, and at the time of writing only in size L. The plain taupe and the red are no longer active. They remain in the photos, and their buttons only work while stock lasts.
Two of the images on this page are empty black frames. That is a fault in the image set, not a black version of the dress.
Who it's for
For you if you like the order of a shirt and the ease of a dress. The belt marks the waist, the sleeves cover the arms, and the skirt is short and has swing. The supplier suggests it for the office as well as for evenings out.
Sizes stop at L, with a chest of 98 cm.

Fabric and feel: viscose
The composition is 95% viscose and 5% polyester. The maker describes the fabric as pleasant to the touch and breathable, and suggests the dress for warm days and, with a coat over it, for cooler ones.
In the photos the fabric has a soft, brushed look and enough weight to hold the flare of the skirt. The maker gives no fabric name, and we will not guess one.
Fit and silhouette: belted waist, flared skirt
Size S measures 86 cm at the chest and 76 cm at the waist; M measures 92 and 80 cm; L measures 98 and 84 cm. The belt pulls the waist in further, so the waist figure is the upper limit.
Length is 84, 86 and 88 cm. On the model that is a short dress, well above the knee. If you are tall, expect it to sit higher still.

Styling: heels in town, boots in autumn
The supplier names both options itself: classic heels for the evening or sporty shoes for meeting friends. The photos show strappy heels with the plain version and fringed boots with the beige leopard one.
Because the print is already busy, plain accessories work better. In autumn, opaque tights and knee boots make the short length easier to wear.
Occasions
The maker mentions the office, social gatherings and evening outings. We would add a city trip. For a strict office the length may be too short; with tights and flat boots it is fine for most.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the dress. Viscose in general can shrink in a hot wash, so if the label gives a temperature, keep to it.
The wow detail: buttons all the way down
The button front runs from the collar to the hem. Closed and belted it is a dress. Open over jeans and a T-shirt it becomes a light coat. That second use is our own idea, the maker does not mention it, and it doubles what you can do with one piece.
