These lace up casual sneakers are white from toe to sole, with two black touches: a tab at the heel and one thin stripe along the side of the sole. They are flat, low-cut and close with ordinary laces.

The supplier lists PU leather and rubber as the materials and sells them in EU sizes 35 to 41.

Those show a round toe, a padded-looking collar, white laces and stitched lines across the side panel. A small tab on the side and on the tongue carries the word FASHION. If you prefer a sneaker without any lettering, this is good to know before you order.

Who they're for

For you if you want one white sneaker that goes with most of what you own and does not ask for attention. The black heel tab and the stripe keep it from looking like a gym shoe.

Materials and build: faux leather and rubber

The supplier names two materials, PU leather and rubber, without saying which part is which. PU leather is faux leather, a coated synthetic. In the photos the upper has the smooth look of that material and the sole looks like rubber, so that is the likely split.

The supplier says nothing about the lining or the insole, so we cannot tell you what is inside.

Size and foot length

The supplier's chart links each EU size to a foot length: 22.4 cm for size 35, up to 25.4 cm for size 41. Measure your foot from heel to longest toe while standing, and pick the size at or just above your length.

The supplier gives no width and does not say whether the shoe runs small or large. If you are between sizes, the larger one is the safer choice with a lace-up.

Styling: jeans, dresses, trousers

The photos pair them with cropped light jeans and a bare ankle, and that is the easiest way to wear them. They also work under a midi dress when heels feel like too much, and with wide trousers that just touch the top of the shoe.

Because the only colours are white and black, there is very little they clash with.

Occasions

Commuting, shopping, a day of walking in a city, a casual office, school runs, weekends. They are everyday shoes; the supplier does not present them as sports shoes, so we would not run in them.

Care

The supplier gives no care instructions. White faux leather usually comes clean with a soft, damp cloth, and laces can be washed separately. We would keep the shoes out of the washing machine and the dryer.

The wow detail: one black line

A single black stripe runs along the white sole, and it lines up with the black tab at the heel. It is a small thing, but it gives a plain white shoe an outline.
