A lace midi dress in two layers
This lace midi dress by Stylove is built from two layers: a smooth pencil dress underneath and lace on top. The lace covers the skirt, forms the short sleeves and hangs as a loose top layer over the bodice, down to the waist.
It ends below the knee, at 111 to 113 cm, has a slit and a covered zip at the back, and comes in sizes S to XXL. It is designed and sewn in Poland.

The piece: models 201110 to 201113 by Stylove
Stylove sells through a Polish fashion wholesaler, which files this dress under evening dresses. The supplier describes a pencil dress that is cut at the waist, with a classic smooth fabric underneath and a delicate lace layer over it.
There are four colours. Pink is a dusty pink in the photos, the one listed as beige looks white, and red and black are as named. All four are active at the supplier in every size.
Who it's for
For you if you need a dress for a formal daytime event and want your shoulders, upper arms and knees covered. The loose lace layer over the bodice skims the stomach, and the waist seam underneath keeps the shape.
The size range goes to XXL, with hips of 118 cm.

Fabric and feel: lace over a smooth layer
The supplier gives the composition per layer. The upper layer, the lace, is 90% nylon and 10% spandex. The bottom layer, the smooth fabric, is 95% polyester and 5% elastane. Both have stretch.
In the photos the lace has a scroll and flower pattern with a clear outline. Where it lies over the under-dress you see the colour as solid; on the sleeves and at the hem border it is see-through.
Fit and silhouette: pencil shape, below the knee
Size M measures 96 cm at the chest, 77 cm at the waist and 103 cm at the hips, with a length of 111.5 cm. Each size up adds 5 cm all round and half a centimetre in length.
A pencil skirt of this length would be hard to walk in without help, which is what the back slit is for. On the model the hem lands on the upper calf.

Styling: pumps and not much else
The photos pair every colour with pointed pumps, purple with the pink and white, black with the red. A coloured shoe is a nice idea with the white and the black dress in particular.
The round neck sits high and the lace is busy, so earrings work better than a necklace. A structured bag and a cropped jacket finish it for a ceremony.
Occasions
The supplier recommends it for special occasions. It suits a wedding as a guest or as mother of the bride, a christening, a communion, a jubilee. The white version is the exception: wear that one to your own civil wedding, not to someone else's.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the dress. Lace in general catches on rings, bracelets and bag clasps. Put jewellery on last.
The wow detail: it looks like a top and a skirt
The loose lace layer over the bodice ends at the waist in its own scalloped edge. From a distance you see a short lace top worn over a lace skirt. It is one dress, with one zip, and nothing to tuck in or keep straight during a long day.
