Description
A fitted lace dress with short sleeves and a scalloped neckline
Lace from shoulder to hem, cut close to the body. This Numoco dress has a V-neckline with a scalloped edge, small cap sleeves and a hem that ends in the same scallops.
It is 91 to 93 cm long, which puts the hem at the knee on the model. The fabric is 95% polyester with 5% spandex, and the supplier states it is made in Poland.

The piece: one dress, a long list of colours
Numoco has made this dress in many colours over the years, each with its own model number. The descriptions all say the same thing in slightly different words: a lace dress with a neckline and short sleeves, classic, produced in Poland. The newer ones add that the lace is delicate and elastic and that the cut is fitted.
Four colours can be ordered now. Our buttons are unhelpful here, so: red 2 is a deep maroon, red 3 is a bright red, pink 4 is a light peach and pink 5 is a powder pink.
Who it's for
For you if you have a wedding, a christening or a dinner coming up and want a dress that is festive without being long. Lace does the dressing up; the shape stays simple.
It is a close fit, and the size table is on the small side: a size M has a chest of 84 cm and a waist of 68 cm. Check the table before you order.

The maker does not mention the closure. A fitted dress like this usually has a zip at the back or side, but we can't confirm where from the data or the photos.
Fabric and feel: stretch lace
The composition is 95% polyester and 5% spandex. The maker calls the lace delicate and elastic. In the photos you see a dense floral lace with a raised outline, laid over a layer in the same colour, so the body of the dress is not see-through.
Only the last few centimetres at the hem and the edges of the sleeves are bare lace.
Fit and silhouette: close, to the knee
The table below is the maker's. Size S: chest 80 cm, waist 66 cm, hips 86 cm, length 91 cm. Size L: chest 88 cm, waist 72 cm, hips 96 cm, length 93 cm. XXL, with a chest of 96 cm and hips of 104 cm, exists only in the newer colours.
The table does not say whether these are garment or body measurements. With 5% spandex there is some give, but lace over a second layer stretches less than jersey. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one.

Styling: little else needed
In every photo the dress is worn with nude heeled sandals and almost no jewellery. That is the right idea. The scalloped neckline already frames the collarbones.
For a church or a cool evening, add a short cropped jacket or a shawl over the shoulders. With the maroon, gold-tone earrings look warm. With the peach and the powder pink, keep everything pale.
Occasions
The supplier files it under evening dresses and the newer descriptions name special occasions. We think of weddings as a guest, communions, anniversaries, a Christmas dinner in the red. It ends at the knee, so it is not a gala dress.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the dress. Lace catches on rings, bracelets and bag clasps; put your jewellery on after the dress.
The wow detail: the scallops
The edge of the lace was not cut straight and hemmed. It follows the pattern, so the neckline and the hem end in small curves. It is a small thing, and it is what makes the dress look finished.
