The composition is 80% acrylic, 15% polyester and 5% spandex. The maker calls the blend soft and flexible, with a smooth texture.

Acrylic is a synthetic knitting fibre. There is no animal fibre in this dress, which matters if those make you itch. The supplier lists the weight at 450 grams.

Fit and silhouette: one size, wide and short

There is one size. The maker's table gives a total length of 83 cm and a chest of 122 cm. That chest measurement is what makes the dress oversized on a small frame and comfortably loose on a larger one.

On the models the sleeves cover part of the hand and the hem sits at mid-thigh.

Styling: boots do the rest

Each colour is styled differently in the photos. The grey dress is worn with black sock boots on a heel, the black one with chunky lace-up boots, the beige one with fluffy winter boots. All three work.

A belt at the waist changes the shape completely if you want less volume. A long coat over it keeps the line clean.

Occasions

The maker names work and social meetings. We think of the office on a cold Monday, Sunday lunch and a Christmas market. It is a day dress, relaxed by nature.

Care: follow the label

The maker's data has no washing instructions, so follow the label sewn into the dress. As a general habit with knits, dry them flat. A knitted dress on a hanger can stretch in length.

The wow detail: the shoulder line

The shoulder seam sits well below the shoulder, on the upper arm. That one choice is what makes the dress look borrowed and relaxed, and it is why the sleeves fall in soft folds over the wrist.
