A loose trapeze dress with pockets and a frill
This trapeze dress with pockets by Awama hangs from the shoulders and widens towards the hem, where a frill finishes it off. The sleeves stop below the elbow, and the pockets are hidden in the side seams.
It is a short dress: 86 cm in S/M and 87 cm in L/XL. You can choose navy blue, a coral pink or a bright blue. The fabric is 98% polyester with 2% linen.

Awama describes a loose trapeze dress of mini length with 3/4 sleeves, a covered zip, a frill at the bottom and pockets in the seam. The three colours share that text and the size table.
An earlier version of this page called it a floral midi dress. It is neither. The fabric is plain, without a print, and the hem ends above the knee. In the photos the "pink", our Coral, is a warm red-pink, and the "blue" is a cornflower blue.
Who it's for
For you if you want a dress that doesn't touch your waist. A trapeze shape skims over the stomach and hips, and you can eat, sit and cycle in it without adjusting anything.
And for you if you never know where to put your phone. This dress has pockets for it.

Fabric and feel: polyester with a touch of linen
The maker's composition reads 98% polyester and 2% "Len", which is Polish for linen. Two percent is very little, so think of this as a polyester dress with a linen-like surface. In the photos the fabric has a fine, slightly irregular texture and a soft sheen where the light hits the folds.
The maker gives no fabric weight and does not mention a lining.
Fit and silhouette: wide on purpose
The size table shows the trapeze in numbers. S/M measures 96 cm at the chest, 104 cm at the waist and 112 cm at the hips. L/XL measures 104, 112 and 120 cm. The dress gets wider as it goes down.
So choose by your chest and shoulders. Length is 86 or 87 cm. Because the frill slopes, the front is shorter than the back, and the table does not say where the length was measured. On the model the front ends well above the knee. If you are tall, expect a short dress and consider wearing it with tights or over slim trousers.

Styling: flat shoes suit it
The model wears beige loafers in every photo, and we agree with the choice. A loose short dress looks right with flat shoes: loafers, white trainers or sandals.
In autumn the navy works with dark tights and ankle boots, and a long cardigan over it. The coral and the blue are summer colours. Wear them with bare legs and a basket bag, and keep the jewellery small.
Occasions
The maker has summer days with friends in mind. Think of a terrace, a barbecue, a city walk on holiday or a birthday in the garden. The navy one is plain enough for a relaxed office.

A frill sewn on straight would make this a cute dress. Awama set it in on a slant, starting high on one side at the front and dropping towards the back. That one line gives the dress movement, and from the side you see the hem swing behind you as you walk.
