This sweater dress by Rue Paris is a big, soft jumper made long enough to wear on its own. It has a round neck, long sleeves with ribbed cuffs and a straight, wide body. The maker gives a chest of 122 cm and a total length of 83 cm, in one size.
The knit is 80% acrylic with 15% polyester and 5% spandex. You can choose beige, black, grey or white.

The piece: four colour models by Rue Paris
Rue Paris describes a dress for everyday wear, for work or for meeting friends, with a simple cut, a classic round neckline, long sleeves and a mini length. The four models share that text and one size table.
Two of them are called beige by the maker. In the photos, model 190145 is a warm cream-beige. Model 190604, which we list as White, is an off-white. The grey is a light mottled grey and the black is plain black.
Who it's for
For you if comfort comes first from October to March. This is a dress you can pull on over tights in thirty seconds and wear all day.
With a chest of 122 cm, the one size covers a wide range. On a small frame it will be very oversized, as it is on the models. On a larger frame it becomes a regular knit dress. Either way it is short, so check the length.

The old title on this page mentioned batwing sleeves. The photos show a regular sleeve set low on the shoulder, so we dropped that.
Fabric and feel: acrylic knit
The composition is 80% acrylic, 15% polyester and 5% spandex. The maker calls the material smooth, comfortable and easy to care for. In the photos the knit is medium in thickness, with a slightly fuzzy surface that looks soft to the touch.
Acrylic is a synthetic yarn that is made to feel like a soft, thick knit, and it is light for its volume. The maker says the long sleeves keep you warm on colder days. There is no animal fibre in this dress.
Fit and size: one size, wide and short
The maker gives two numbers: a total length of 83 cm and a chest of 122 cm. That chest is very generous, and the photos confirm it. The body hangs straight and away from the figure, and the sleeves cover half the hand.
Length is the thing to think about. On the models 83 cm ends at mid-thigh. If you are tall, the dress may be closer to a long jumper, and you might prefer it over leggings or slim jeans.
Styling: it starts with the boots
Every photo pairs the dress with a different boot. The black one gets chunky lace-up boots. The grey is worn with black sock boots. The beige comes with fur-trimmed snow boots, and the white with white knee-high boots. Pick the boot and you have picked the mood.
Add tights in black or in a skin tone, and a long coat that covers the hem. A belt at the waist changes the shape completely if you want less volume. For home, thick socks will do.
Occasions
The maker names everyday wear, work and meeting friends. It is right for a casual office, a coffee date, a winter walk and a long day at home. In black with heeled boots it can also go out for dinner.

The maker calls the material easy to care for but gives no instructions, so go by the label sewn into the dress.
Knits keep their shape when you dry them flat. On a hanger, a dress this long can stretch under its own weight.
