Factory Price is the maker's label at a Polish fashion wholesaler. The supplier describes a long fur-trimmed women's coat in polyester with long sleeves, inset pockets, a snap closure and a lining, meant for autumn and winter.

The word fur needs a note. The composition is 100% polyester, so this is imitation fur and no animal fibre is involved. In the photos the whole coat is covered in pile; it is more than a trim.

In our colour menu the beige coat is called "Taupe". In the photos it is a warm camel-beige.

Who it's for

For you if you want a coat that is the outfit. Put it over a plain dress or jeans and a roll-neck and you are done.

It is one size and generous: 118 cm at the chest and 122 cm at the hips. On a small frame it will look oversized, which is how the model wears it. The maker does not mention padding, so we make no promise about how it holds up in hard frost.

Materials and feel: polyester pile with a lining

Everything the maker lists is polyester. The pile in the photos is long, with strands that lie in different directions and catch the light, most visibly on the black coat.

A lining sits inside, so the pile does not touch your clothes. The maker gives no fabric weight and does not describe the lining further.

Fit and silhouette: one size, long and roomy

The table has one row: length 116 cm, chest 118 cm, hips 122 cm. Measure 116 cm down from your shoulder to see where the hem will sit. On the model it is on the calf.

With this much room there is space for a thick jumper or a blazer underneath. The snaps let you close it; in the photos it is worn open, which shows the collar at its widest.

Styling: one texture is enough

The photos show two approaches. The black coat goes over black lace tights and pumps for the evening. The beige one goes over a pale draped dress with nude slingbacks.

For daytime, try straight jeans, a fine roll-neck and ankle boots. Keep everything under the coat smooth and close to the body, because the coat brings all the volume you need. A crossbody bag will flatten the pile, so carry a handbag.

Occasions

The supplier suggests everyday, formal and office outfits in autumn and winter. We see it over a party dress in December, on the way to the theatre, at a winter wedding, and on an ordinary cold Saturday when you feel like dressing up for the market.

Care: follow the label

The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the coat. Long synthetic pile mats with heat and friction; check the label before any washing.

Shake the coat out after wearing, hang it on a wide hanger with space around it and loosen the pile with your fingers where a bag strap or a seat belt has pressed it flat.

The wow detail: the collar

The collar is wide and covered in the same long pile as the rest. Worn flat it frames the face like a shawl. Turned up, it stands against the neck and the jaw. Either way it is the part people will remember.
