Description
A cap sleeve sweater vest for the in-between months
This cap sleeve sweater vest is a knit without real sleeves. The shoulders are cut wide and fall just over the top of your arm, which gives you the cover of a short sleeve and the ease of a tank.
It is 65% viscose and 35% polyester, slightly stretchy, and comes in black, beige, misty blue and charcoal, in sizes S to XL.

The piece: a simple knit by Elliotte
The vest is sold under the label Elliotte. The supplier calls it a basic style, slightly stretchy, and gives the fibre mix plus a bust and a length for each size.
The photos add the details. The knit has a pebbled texture, the round neck has a ribbed band, and a raised seam runs straight down the middle of the front. At the hem there is a small slit at the side.
Who it's for
For you if you want knitwear in spring and early autumn, when a sweater is too warm and a T-shirt looks too bare. It also layers well: the open armholes leave room for a shirt or a long-sleeve top underneath.
Closer look: shoulders, seam and hem
- Cap sleeves formed by wide shoulders (supplier title; photos)
- Round neck with a ribbed band (photos)
- Raised seam down the centre front (photos)
- Small side slit at the hem (photos)
- Textured knit, slightly stretchy (supplier: slightly stretchy; photos)
Fabric and feel: viscose and polyester knit
The yarn is 65% viscose and 35% polyester. Viscose gives a knit a smooth, slightly cool touch. The supplier rates the stretch as slight and gives no weight. In the photos the knit looks medium in thickness, with visible stitches.
Fit and silhouette: boxy, hip length
The body is cut straight and loose. Size S measures 97 cm at the bust and 59.4 cm in length; M is 101.1 cm and 60.5 cm; L is 104.9 cm and 61.5 cm; XL is 109 cm and 62.5 cm. The supplier gives these in inches; we converted them and rounded to one decimal.
The steps between sizes are small, about four centimetres at the bust. If you want the relaxed look in the photos, take your usual size. For a neater fit you can go one down.

Styling: shorts in summer, a shirt in autumn
The photos show it with denim shorts and with light jeans, a brown quilted bag over the shoulder. Half tucked at the front, the centre seam lines up with the fly of your jeans, which looks tidy.
When it cools down, wear a white shirt or a striped long-sleeve tee underneath. Black and charcoal are the office colours; beige and misty blue go well with light denim.
Occasions
Wear it to work with trousers, at the weekend with jeans, or on holiday over a dress when the evening gets cooler. It is one of those pieces that goes in the suitcase without a second thought.
Care: cold wash, low dryer
The supplier's care instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Knits with viscose can lose their shape when they hang wet, so we would dry this one flat. That tip is ours.
The wow detail: one seam down the middle
The raised seam on the front is the only decoration, and it is enough. It draws a straight line from neck to hem, which makes a boxy knit look longer and less square.
Fashion that gives back
