The photos show large rosettes in the pattern and a scalloped hem. The top flares gently from the bust. At the back the neckline is a deep scoop.

The first four photos show a green set. That colour is no longer available at the wholesaler. The black set, model 215139, is in the last two.

The set comes in one size. The openwork top is loose, so it is forgiving. The camisole is fitted and measures 70 cm at the chest before stretching, so it will be snug on larger sizes.

Fabric and feel: cotton outside, viscose inside

The openwork top is 100% cotton. Cotton gives the pattern body, so the rosettes keep their shape and the hem hangs straight. The maker calls the set light and airy, which fits a fabric that is half holes.

The camisole is 90% viscose and 10% elastane. The maker describes it as soft. Viscose feels smooth and cool on the skin, and the elastane lets it sit close under the looser top.

Fit and silhouette: loose over fitted

The maker's table gives two numbers per measurement. We read them as the openwork top first and the camisole second: length 67 and 63 cm, chest 82 and 70, hips 110 and 80.

So the outer top is 4 cm longer than the camisole and much wider at the hem. On the model it ends over the hip and swings a little. The camisole is narrow at rest and relies on its stretch.

Styling: wide trousers or blue jeans

The black set is photographed with wide beige trousers. Black lace above a pale, loose trouser is a calm summer evening look.

With light blue jeans it becomes a daytime outfit. You can also wear the openwork top over a bikini on the beach and keep the camisole for under a blazer; that is the advantage of two separate pieces.

As a general habit, wash openwork cotton in a mesh bag so the pattern can't catch on zips or hooks, and dry it flat so it doesn't stretch out of shape. Viscose is weaker when wet, so handle the camisole gently too.

The pattern does not stop at a straight edge. It ends in a row of scallops, each one a half rosette, so the hem looks like the border of a tablecloth your grandmother would have been proud of. Over pale trousers every curve shows.
