The piece: model 222287
The maker describes women's slippers for relaxing at home, decorated with the inscription SMILE and ears, on a thick sole. The pink pair is model 222287.
In the photos the face is stitched in black: whiskers left and right and the word in the middle, a little crooked on purpose. The sole is cream and has a wavy edge.
A cream pair with black ears also appears in the gallery. That version is no longer available at the wholesaler, so we deliver the pink one.
Who they're for
For you if cold floors bother you and you like your slippers to be a bit silly. They also make an easy present for a teenager, a friend or yourself.
One note for people who avoid animal products: the maker calls the pile fur and does not say whether it is real or imitation. We don't know, and we say so below.

About the word fur: the supplier's data says fur for the lining and the footbed and plastic for the upper. It does not say what the pile is made of. We will not guess. If you need to know, ask us and we will put the question to the supplier.
Materials and build: soft pile on a thick sole
What we can tell you for certain is short. The pile is long and soft in the photos and covers the whole upper. The maker says it is pleasant to the touch and keeps the feet warm at home. The attribute for the upper reads plastic, which points to a synthetic base.
The sole is 3.5 cm thick. The maker says it gives comfort and stability, and a sole that thick does keep your foot well off a cold floor. Its material is not stated.
Size and dimensions: three double sizes
The insole is 23 cm long in size 36/37, 24 cm in 38/39 and 25 cm in 40/41. Those are short for the higher size of each pair: a foot that normally takes a 41 is often longer than 25 cm.
So measure your foot. If it is close to or over the insole length of your double size, go up one if you can. With an open back a few millimetres of overhang is not a disaster, but the heel should rest on the sole.

Styling: pyjamas, joggers, thick socks
These go with whatever you wear at home. In the photos they are worn barefoot with a fine anklet, which looks sweet. With a matching pink lounge set they become part of an outfit, and with grey joggers they are the one cheerful thing in it.
Occasions
They are indoor slippers: for the sofa, the home office and the walk to the kettle. The maker describes them for relaxing at home and says nothing about outdoor use, so keep them off wet ground.
They are a good gift for Sinterklaas or Christmas. Check her shoe size first.
