The supplier does not name a maker, so we describe only what is in the supplier facts and what the photos show. The hammock is a wide piece of nylon fabric gathered at both top ends, so it forms a deep seat when you sit in it.

Two long handle straps hang from the same attachment points. Each strap has padded hand grips and multiple buckle positions, so you can set the handles at a height that works for your practice and your ceiling height. The photos show the hammock used in a range of poses, from a simple seated position to splits and inverted shapes.

Who it's for

For you if you want to try aerial yoga at home, or if you already practice and want a hammock for days when you cannot get to the studio. It suits anyone who has a place to hang it from a secure ceiling beam or a dedicated stand, and who is comfortable setting up their own equipment.

If you are new to aerial yoga, start with simple seated and supported poses before trying anything inverted. Always make sure your attachment point is strong enough before you get in, and have someone nearby when you try a new pose.

Closer look: what is in the set

Wide nylon hammock sling (supplier)

Two handle straps with padded grips (supplier; visible in photos)

Four locks for attaching the straps (supplier)

Storage bag for transport and storage (supplier)

Adjustable buckles on the handle straps (photos)

Ceiling fixings and extension straps are not included (supplier)

Materials and build: 100% nylon

The hammock fabric is 100% nylon, as declared by the supplier. Nylon is a strong, lightweight synthetic fibre that is often used for load-bearing straps and slings. In the photos the fabric has a smooth, slightly shiny surface and it drapes softly when a person is sitting in it.

The supplier gives no fabric dimensions, so we cannot tell you how long or wide the hammock is. The supplier also states a load figure, but we have no test report on file, so we do not repeat that claim on this page. Always check that your ceiling attachment is secure before use.

Size and setup

The hammock hangs from two attachment points. The handle straps have adjustable buckles, so you can change the height of the handles to match your ceiling height and the type of pose you want to do. The net weight of the whole set is 1.2 kg, so it is light enough to take with you when you travel, as long as you have somewhere to hang it.

Ceiling hooks, ceiling plates and extension straps are not included. If you do not already have a way to hang the hammock, you will need to buy those separately. Follow the instructions of the fixing you use, and if in doubt, ask a professional to install it.

Using your hammock

The photos show the hammock used in many different ways. You can sit in the wide sling for supported forward folds and hip openers, hold the handles for standing balance work, or recline back for chest openers and gentle inversions.

Start low to the ground when you are learning. Wear clothes that cover your shoulders and the back of your knees, so the fabric does not rub. Keep the storage bag nearby for when you want to take it down, and fold the fabric neatly to avoid creases that can dig in during practice.

When to use it

Use it for a short morning stretch, a longer home yoga session, or for active recovery on days when your body feels tight. It works well for people who sit at a desk and want to decompress their spine, and for anyone who enjoys trying new movement practices at home.

Because it packs into a storage bag, you can also take it to a friend's house or on holiday, as long as you have a secure place to hang it.

Care: check the label first

The supplier data has no care instructions, so follow the label sewn into the hammock. As general practice for nylon equipment: wipe off dirt with a damp cloth after use, let it air dry fully before storing it in the bag, and check the fabric and straps regularly for signs of wear.

Do not use the hammock if you see fraying, tears or damaged buckles. Store it out of direct sunlight when you are not using it.

The wow detail: adjustable handles for every pose

What sets this hammock apart from a simple fabric sling is the pair of long handle straps with multiple buckle positions. You can set the handles high for standing work, lower them for seated poses, or adjust them asymmetrically for stretches that need one side longer than the other. It gives you more options than a single sling, and you do not need extra equipment to change the setup.

Movement that gives back

5% of each sale goes to a cause you choose.
